The Scotbark processing plant is located in the Scottish Highland
capital, Inverness, an ideal catchment site for the produce of
Scotland's forests.
There are numerous sawmills in the area and of course the largest
single user of pine logs in the country, C.S.C FOREST PRODUCTS,
which produces the oriented strand board (O.S.B.) called 'Sterling
Board'.
Drawing its raw material from these sources, Scotbark products
are composed primarily of Scots pine bark (in excess of 80%).
This is reflected in the higher quality which can be achieved
as opposed to that from other species. The
Scotbark products range falls into three distinct categories Playbark,
Ornamental Bark Mulch and General
Purpose Bark Mulch.
